I am Wifey

Not because I hold a marital last name.

Or because someone has claimed me.

I am Wifey because of permission to be.

Unapologetically, unconventionally, exceptionally me.

When my hair is done, the house well kept, and the meals hearty

I am showing an example of self-care, self-love because it has been taught through my internal roots

However, just the same, when my hair is undone, the house is unkempt, and a few drive-through meals

I am showing the same love, realness, and rawness within life truths

I do not claim to be perfect in my Wifey-ness

I only claim to be full blow the definition of a hot mess

A Proverbs 31 woman is an example we are intended to aspire to be.

She is selfless, a hard worker, and makes significant sacrifices.

Removes distractions, toxicity, and limits time with harmful devices.

This woman is responsible, strong, and healthy.

And it is not her outer beauty, but yet the inner that keeps her wealthy.

It is this recognition that locks it down, it is this recognition that holds the crown.

I am Wifey because He says so.

I am Wifey because He allows me to grow.

Through my adversity and trials, I am learning to love myself more with each day.

For it's the challenges that make me stronger, wiser, more phenomenal in every way.
